Each of our Clinical Pilates sessions, whether individual or group based, are led by a qualified Physiotherapist with extra training in Clinical Pilates. You can rest assured that you are receiving the highest quality care from a therapist that has an exceptional understanding of body mechanics, anatomy, physiology and injury management.
We always start with a 1:1 Pilates assessment where we thoroughly cover your medical history, goals, strengths and areas for improvement. From here, a fully individualised program is created to target your personal needs and goals. One of the benefits of Clinical Pilates Vs a more generic pilates class is the knowledge and skill of the Physiotherapist creating and monitoring your program, and knowing which exercises to leave out! Once you feel comfortable with your program you have the option of progressing to a small, friendly group class which is again led by one of our qualified Physiotherapists.
Consistency is the key! You will get more out of your Clinical Pilates program if you complete it consistently. 1-2 sessions per week are ideal for improvement and maintenance. It’s also great to know that if your Private Health Insurance (PHI) extras policy covers physiotherapy, then your sessions can be claimed under your PHI. Our programs can include exercises on the Pilates Reformer, Mat work, Trapeze table, Smith Machine and other weights machines, free weights and many more – often a fun combination of the above!
